Hey Gang, Here are some mics that sound very good. I use them in the various systems going out all the time. I really blundered across the Avlex Mipro Superlux family of mics and one after another kept adding them to the rigs. The deal is this; There are great mics out there that don't say Shure, Sennheiser or AKG on them. The music store dudes don't stock these because they don't sell themselves like the big names do. Thes mics all sound great and I use them all the time on some big name acts. If you want to pay three times the money - I do carry Shure, Senheisser, Audix etc - email me for a quote. If you want to take a chance and step outside your "comfort zone" for a deal; try any one of the mics on this page.

Drum Set Mic Kit Superlux DRK-B5C2 Shure

Some of you guy’s that follow my auctions remember me getting into the Superlux line for over heads and selling all of my Shure SM81’s. That led me here. I found a review that really goes into a lot of detail on these mics and is a must read if you’re looking for a drum mic set. It starts out………..

Getting a great drum sound is a slippery business – there are simply so many factors to consider. It’s an art that can take years of trial and error to learn, and no amount of theory will give you the experience you need to know precisely where to place a mic, how far from a drum it needs to be and so on. One drum kit and a single set of microphones can yield dozens of different recorded drum kit sounds, while that same combination can also produce live drum kit sounds. And when you throw into the equation different drummers and how they play, it’s no wonder the subject can be daunting and frustrating. So, arming yourself with a decent set of microphones – the responses of which you can learn to predict – can save you an awful lot of grief.
